Lauren's March painting project

A neighbor of ours asked me a few months ago if I wanted this cabinet. At the time, it was light green with flowers painted on it. I sanded it, primed it and repainted it white to fit our master bedroom decor. Previously, we had our stereo on a white plastic shelving unit, so this wood cabinet looks much nicer.

I have to say I'm pretty proud of myself for completing this project. I have not completed very many home improvement projects by myself. I once attempted to strip and paint the metal headboard and footboard on the bed in our guest room. By the time I was done stripping the original paint I was sick of the project. I procrastinated for two months before my Dad ended up painting them for me.

No help from Dad this time! I can claim this project as my own - and it feels good to accomplish something. Now if only I felt motivated to do yardwork ...

Great Job Lauren! I would be proud if I were you. You did a good job. Isn't nice to finish something you don't want to finish. Hope to get down there some day soon. Aunt Denise
