Exploring new foods

Last night at dinner I cut up a starfruit for Morgan to try for the first time. She put a piece in her mouth and then removed it almost immediately. Fair enough.

We also had french fries last night, so we gave her some along with a tiny bit of "dip" (ketchup). While she was eating the french fries, I put a few more pieces of starfruit on her tray just to see what would happen. Sometimes she won't eat something at the beginning of the meal, but if we put it on her tray while she's eating something else she'll pick up the first thing and begin eating it.

Sure enough, after a few bites of french fry, Morgan picked up the starfruit.

Then she dipped it in the ketchup.

Then she ate it.

Eeewww.

She ended up finishing all of the starfruit I had cut up for her, dipping most of it in ketchup.

Am I adding "starfruit" to the list of foods Morgan likes?

Yes.
