Apple Orchard visit in Michigan

We went to Michigan for 6 days at the beginning of October. During that trip, we spent an afternoon at Spicer's Apple Orchard with Grandma Debbie and Papa Dave.

A 3-year-old wants what a 3-year-old wants. While the rest of us savored fresh baked doughnuts and hot apple cider (flavors that epitomize Fall), Morgan would have none of it. She wanted this pink lollipop.

Spicers had a great play area. This pirate ship was the highlight in my opinion. Morgan loves pirates, so she was excited to go on the ship, too, but a little scared of the height once she got up there. Ever cautious, it took Morgan at least 30 seconds to inch her way down this bridge. One boy came running up it while she was coming down and I thought she might burst into tears when she had to move her right hand to the rope on her left side to let him pass.

In addition to a large sandbox, this orchard also has this cornbox - a small barn filled with corn. It smelled funky, but was a better alternative on a windy day than the sandbox.

A sticky lollipop mess! Thank goodness we had her stocking cap with us to hold her hair out of the way!

Spicer's is in Fenton. It's about a 10-minute drive from Dave and Debbie's house.
