The docs are taking me off the medication that has been stopping my contractions tomorrow. Yay! There's no way to know if I'll start having contractions again right away or if things will hold off for a few more weeks, so let the waiting game begin!
I've had a lot going on around the house the past two weeks. We've had severe thunderstorms and tornadoes across Indiana the past week, so that has kept me on my toes. All of the major flooding you've likely seen on the news is mostly south of Indianapolis and we've been fortunate not to lose power at our house. We did find out during the first major storm last week that our roof was leaking, though. Water started coming down through our kitchen ceiling and into the cabinets. Not a fabulous situation, but our roof is only 2 years old, so between the roofing company and our insurance company the needed repairs will hopefully be paid for without any money coming out of our pocket.
I've had lots of visitors and phone calls lately, which has put me in good spirits. Kristyn and Mary both called for long chats. My sister came down from MI this past weekend and helped get the nursery organized. She also gave me a much-needed pedicure, for which I am extremely grateful! Katrina brought her 2-year-old daughter Finnley over and the three of us had a lovely visit on Friday afternoon. Finnley can say my name now (well, a very close version of it), so that was exciting! Kristy came over Sunday evening and made dinner for Jeff and I. Our neighbor, Patty, has also stopped over a few times to visit and help out with house cleaning. Thank you, everyone! I truly appreciate your help and companionship.
I hope you all enjoy the new pics!
Love, the ever-expanding Lauren
