It was a very productive Memorial weekend around our house! My parents came to visit and help get things ready for Baby.
Jeff and my Dad finished painting the nursery and installing new shelving in the nursery closet. They also got the yard work caught up.
My Mom cleaned our house - top to bottom. Jeff has been doing the best he can, but he just hasn't had a lot of time to do a thorough cleaning so it was nice of my Mom to do that for us. I am much less stressed now that I'm resting in a clean house!
Also, our friend John helped Jeff pick up the crib and our neighbor Patty came over and cleaned some of our windows for us.
Last, but not least, we got to open our baby shower gifts this weekend (see pic)! We are tremendously grateful for all of the lovely gifts bestowed upon us and Baby. We want everyone to know we feel truly blessed and loved!

Sounds like you had a busy week-end, and got alot done around the house. It must have been nice for you to have your mom and dad down to help.
I'll bet it was nice to have a shower down there with all your friends. I hope you got everything you wanted.
Well it won't be much longer until the baby arrives. Can't wait it's been along time since we've had a little one in the family.

Sounds like a wonderful productive weekend for all of you.
We had the same here in Ft. Wayne. Most the family came up to help over haul the house. Fresh paint, new light fixtures, and cleaning were done. We just got our carpet and flooring installed! Just in time for the moving truck yesterday! We are offically living here in Ft. Wayne!
Hope all is well with the rest of the best rest! Not too much longer to go!

Things here in DC are going well. I really like it here thus far, but do miss the peps in the Midwest a TON!
