Learning

So far, 2009 has been a time for learning in our household. Jeff and I are learning how to juggle long hours and unpredictable work schedules with a baby at home. It's not easy and we struggle to find time for everything (housework, friends, each other), but Morgan is thriving and that is the most important thing to us right now.

Morgan is learning new things every day. She is moving new parts of her toys on her own, mocking sounds that we make and yesterday she started moving her walker across the kitchen floor by herself. I took this short video of her drinking her apple juice without my help yesterday.

Grandma and Grandpa Campbell came for a visit last weekend and Morgan is already learning how to get what she wants from them, too. They stayed with us from Saturday to Tuesday, so rather than take Morgan to daycare on Monday she stayed home with her grandparents while we were at work. Well, she fussed and carried on all day so they would carry her around and give her constant attention. When we got home, the fussing stopped and she went back to being perfectly content to sit and play, and Grandma and Grandpa had their first taste of being played by their granddaughter. Although, I don't think they minded much.

OMG! She just gets cuter every day, doesn't she? I can't believe how big she is already! It makes me cherish my days with my little one . . . while she's still my little one!
