Adventures in ASO (August, Sept, Oct)

Great news! Jeff's unemployment officially ends on Monday!

If you didn't know, he was let go from his previous job in July. He was not happy working there anyway, so it has worked out for the best. He's very excited to embark on his new adventure working for a packaged foods distribution company serving Indiana and a few other Midwest destinations. And Morgan and I are very proud of him for staying positive during his unemployment and working hard to find another opportunity in such a tough job market!!

Meanwhile, we have been busy just the same. We've had several opportunities to hang out with friends and family from Michigan. In August, two of my college roomies brought their families (adults seated in photo below) down to Indy for a visit and Aunt Rachel came down for a weekend also. In September, Morgan and I enjoyed a massive playdate in Flint with my high school girlfriends and their children (lined up on the couch above) and then we all attended a family wedding (Jeff's cousin) in northern Michigan.

Morgan is learning and developing so fast right now that it's hard to keep up! She loves to read books and play with anything electronic right now. We have a digital picture frame and she would spend all day watching the slideshow on it if we let her.

She also really likes music. Piano lessons may be in her future. She had her first opportunity recently to sit at a real piano. Seeing as she's 15 months old we expected her to pound away at it with both hands and create typical baby "music." To our amazement, however, she used several of her fingers and carefully selected individual keys to play! Our only guess is that she has seen Daddy play songs on the eight or so piano keys on one of her toys (she pays very close attention to detail right now and it's scary how good she is at mimicking what we do and say).

Hopefully we will have time to upload a couple new videos of Morgan soon. Until then, enjoy the photos with this post and have a great October!
