Jeff and Morgan returned to Indianapolis safely last Thursday. They arrived moments after I got home from work and we all spent a great evening together talking and playing.
And that's where the fairytale ends.
Illness has plagued our house ever since. Morgan and I both have ear infections and Jeff has an upper respiratory infection. In an effort to forget the horrors of the past few days, I want to share the few small joys that came out of this weekend of misery.
1. Napping - Since we were all sick, there was a lot of napping at our house this weekend. I normally do not nap, so I completely enjoyed every moment I spent napping. It was cold and snowy outside and nothing could have been more perfect than a nap.
2. A Valentine's "date" - We snuggled on the couch together Friday night and watched Couples Retreat. Good movie, good company.
3. A Valentine's picnic - I wanted to do something special with Morgan for Valentine's Day, so we had a picnic for lunch on Sunday. We spread out a blanket in the living room and all three of us ate fruit and crackers as Morgan bounced between Mommy and Daddy's lap.
Illnesses aside, it was a pretty nice, relaxed weekend. Currently we are all on antibiotics, so hopefully by this weekend there will be a lot less horror and a even more room for joy!

Hmmmm...whenever we go to Michigan we get sick too... :) Hope the antibiotics help quickly! Glad to hear you've been able to have some fun despite the sickness :)
Praying for health...job...and baby Morgan to feel so much better. At least you see the bright side of each day even when you don't feel good. The V-Day picnic sounds like it was alot of fun. Can't wait to see you all again. I feel like I barely know Morgan and I don't like that. Hugs from A. Denise
Aunt Denise - It's only 2.5 hours from our house to Loralee and Grant's and it'll probably only be around 3.5 hours from our house to Kim and Lucas' new house. So, let us know when you'll be visiting either of them and maybe we can plan to meet you there for a day.
