In response to a challenge posted on Simply Modern Mom (linked in left-hand column), we have signed a commitment to "date" each other once a week for the rest of the year. We will take turns planning the dates each month and we have decided to budget $20 per month for our dates. Lauren is planning our dates for March.
Lauren: Our first date was themed the "bucket list" date. Several other people participating in the challenge had already done this, but I switched ours up a bit. I rented The Bucket List (Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman) and bought ice cream for us to enjoy during the movie. Before the movie started, we spent some time working on our own bucket list. Instead of a list of things to do before we die, however, ours is a list of things we want to do before we move. It is our goal to move back to Michigan, but I don't want to have any regrets when we leave Indiana. The added bonus of starting our bucket list is that now we have more ideas for future dates!

that was a fun date. it's also fun to make some shorter term goal of things to do before you move. and the movie was a pretty good one too. thanks for sharing and we'll see you next week!
