Date Night #18 and #19

Date Night #18

Fourth of July weekend, my whole family was in town, and Jeff and I didn't even kid ourselves and pretend like we were going to have a date. Too much family stuff and birthday celebrating going on, so we both just assumed we would skip that week.

Thankfully, the stars aligned and we ended up with one very romantic half hour alone waiting for the fireworks to begin in downtown Indy. Lying on a blanket together and staring at the skyline, we talked, joked, cuddled and enjoyed the view of our city.

Date Night #19

Unlike the previous week, we had our date night planned for awhile this time. We were invited to a surprise 30th birthday party at Cadillac Ranch for our friend Tim. A little food, a little dancing, a little mechanical bull-riding ... a lot of fun!

To cap the night off, Jeff and I took a pedicab ride back to our car. It's a bicycle taxicab and they are the newest form of downtown transport here in Indy. It was cheap, fun and we enjoyed a nice, breezy ride on a hot summer night.
