Two ... and Mommy wants to be done counting!

Morgan turned 2 this month! She is such a beautiful, smart, sweet little two-year-old (with a healthy dose of terrible, of course), so I wanted to document a few stories about her so we will be able to remember this cute age!

• She is finally at the stage where she will sit and color for a bit. We usually give her scrap paper, and when you ask her what she's coloring she usually says "Mickey Mouse."

• She likes to wash dishes with me now, standing on the stool and getting the floor soaking wet.

• She enjoys picking up "Mommy's sticks" (see photo below).

• She was standing and "reading" one of her birthday cards to me one day and I told her to "turn it around so Mommy can see." She literally turned her whole body around ... and it took me a few seconds to figure out what had just happened.

• When she wants you to hold her, she says "pick up me."

• She gets a kick out of seeing people "cry." She'll look at me and ask "Crying, Mommy?" That means she wants me to pretend to cry. Then when I start to pretend to cry, she'll say "No crying, Mommy. No crying." Sometimes she'll even put her little hand on the side of my face when she tells me "no crying" (a *heart swell* moment, as I like to call them).

• The other day I was wearing a strappy tank top while we were playing with her piggy bank. Once we put all the money back in the bank, she picked it up and said "Mommy pocket," then proceeded to pull the top of my tank top out and stick the bank in it.

• We took a friend's daughter with us to see a marionette show last week. The audience had to sit on benches with no backs on them. Since Morgan didn't want to sit on my lap, I kept my hand on her back most of the show so she wouldn't fall backward. Twice during the show, she stopped, smiled up at me, said "Mommy" and then stuck her arm under mine and put her hand on my back. **double heart swell**

Can you please stay 2 forever, Morgan?

Great post. Thanks for the stories - and the picture - she's so pretty!

V was asking me about Mommy sticks today... "What do you do with them?"

I thought the same about two - but now I love 3 even more and don't want it to end!!! :)

Thankfully 2 just started, so I've got some time left to thoroughly enjoy it!

For now, we're lucky that 'mommy sticks' are just fun to play with ... but I'm sure the questions will come some day!

And they call them the terrible twos...i guess it depends on who you are talking about. We are missing so much with this sweet little gal...makes me sad. I'm so happy you guys are going to try and make it to the christmas party, i can't wait to see all the little ones together. We have to take lots of PICTURES!! If Jacob comes it would be cool to get Grandma Dot with all the great grandkids!! FUN! love to all A. Denise
