Circle City Coons' Christmas Vacation

"We're kicking off our fun, old-fashioned family Christmas by heading out into the country in the old front-wheel drive sleigh to embrace the frosty majesty of the winter landscape and select that most important of Christmas symbols."
~ Clark Griswold

I wholeheartedly believe Jeff wants to be the real-life version of Clark Griswold (National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation) - minus all the drama, hopefully.

So far this year, we have gone out in the front yard to watch him turn on the Christmas lights, and drove out into the country to chop down our own Christmas tree (see quote and photos above).

With the exception of two minor imperfections - two sets of candy canes lining our driveway are burnt out and we selected a short, fat tree when our space really calls for a tall, slim tree - it really has been a fun, old-fashioned family Christmas so far!

I LOVE it! All you need is a squirrel in the tree and you're set :)

The irony, Kim, is that we haven't found the time to watch the movie ourselves yet this year!
