Most years, a post titled "Our Summer Guests" would be filled with photos of many of our friends and family and they probably wouldn't all fit in one post. We tend to have a lot of visitors at our house - even if it is just the grandparents visiting over and over again.
This year, however, there is just one family who came to visit: my college roommate Erika, her husband, Jeff, and their boys, Evan, Owen and Kyle.
Erika and Jeff have brought their kids to visit us 4 out of the past 5 summers (last year Kyle was a newborn so we gave them a free pass to stay home). This was the first visit that Morgan was really big enough to play with their boys, and, as suspected, they all got along great.

In a stroke of pure genius, Jeff and Erika suggested before the trip that we get a sitter for the kids on saturday night. Done! So, the four of us adults went out for a delicious meal at Weber Grill.
After dinner, we were strolling the mall when we stumbled upon Glowgolf. We had no idea there was an indoor adventure golf in the mall downtown that "glowed" in black light. It seemed like the perfect way to kill some time between dinner and stopping for ice cream, though, so we went for it.

Despite getting TWO hole-in-ones (on difficult holes nonetheless), I was sadly not the winner. The scores after 18 holes were:
Jeffery (my husband) - 43
Jeffrey (Erika's husband) - 52
Lauren - 56
Erika - 59
We really enjoy it when Erika and Jeff bring their family to visit. It is so nice that their kids know who we are and look forward to seeing us, and it is nice to keep building new memories with Erika and Jeff. As always, the time we got to spend with them was cherished, too short and left us looking forward to their next visit!
