When you say ...

The best part of having a toddler is that they think out loud a lot of the time. Morgan has a very unique way of working through some of her thoughts out loud. I call them "when you says."

Here's an example:

Morgan: "Mom, can I have some Cheerios?"
Mom: "No, we are eating dinner in 5 minutes."
Morgan: "Well, when you say yes, then you say yes, and we can have some Cheerios!"

A variation:

Morgan: "Mom, can we go on a walk now?"
Mom: "As soon as you pick your crayons up off the floor like I asked you to we can go on a walk."
Morgan: "Daddy, when Mommy says okay, then Mommy says okay, and then the crayons are all picked up and we can go on a walk!"

I adore these "when you say" moments, because I know they are a special glimpse into how her mind works and that they won't last forever.
