Date Nights #10 and #11

Inspired by Project 52 at Simply Modern Mom (link in left-hand column)

Date Night #10:

I rented a video game for us to play together for this date. About the only games I like are driving games and Jeff likes cool vehicles, so I rented Hummer Badlands in hopes of appealing to both of us. When I got to the counter there was a late fee for a movie Jeff forgot to return. I spent $6+change to rent the game and pay the late fee. We returned the game two days later without ever playing it. This definitely qualifies as the least economical date we've had!

Our usual date night is saturday night, but Jeff worked 16 hours that day. He crashed when he got home. No problem, I figured, we'll just play the game on Sunday. Never happened. By the time we got Morgan to bed, we were both exhausted and just wanted to relax. So, date night consisted of much-needed cuddling in bed, reaffirming that many of the best things in life are free.

Date Night #11:

Honest to goodness, I can't remember what we did for this date - and it was only a little over a week ago. I do know that one of Jeff's new co-workers, Matt, had us over Saturday night to meet his fiance, Angela, and their 3-year-old, Lauren. They were all very nice and the kids played well together. Jeff and Matt get along extremely well (like separated-at-birth well) and I really liked Angela because she's very laid-back, so I'm sure we'll be hanging out with them frequently from now on.

Anyway, if I ever remember what we actually did for "date night", I'll let you know ...
