We knew it was going to be unbearably hot on the day we went to the fair. We thought we had it all figured out - get there when the fair opens at 8am, hang out for awhile, have lunch and head home before the heat got the best of us. Wow, were we wrong!
Pretty much nothing opens before 10 a.m. at the fair, except the gates! No food, no games, no rides! So, we ended up staying until almost 1:30 p.m. in the sweltering heat. Yep, 5.5 hours of mid-August heat with a 2-year-old. What were we thinking?
Truthfully, though, we had a pretty good time up until the very end. And, it was nice to go when the crowds were low, because we could let Morgan out of her stroller. I'm sure this experience, like every year, will not stop us from giving it a go again next year!

There's more than corn in Indiana - Morgan is here, too!
