Last weekend in the grocery store, we were all in the bread aisle and Jeff and I were choosing what we wanted. Morgan looked up on the wall where it was labeled 'bread,' pointed to the word and exclaimed, "ABCs!" We were so proud of her for spotting them all on her own!
This morning when I was listening to Morgan on the monitor, she began singing a song we have never sang together. "Rain, rain, go away. Come again another day." I later learned Patty sings that with the kids when it's raining and they can't go outside to play. Interestingly, however, it hasn't rained in at least a month here in Indianapolis (Seriously, .37 inches of rain the entire month of August - a new record low), so Morgan has a good memory for song (gets that from daddy).
